Diary of a Date Rape
BEE GOLDSMITH
Would you report a date rape? What if the perpetrator was someone you knew? Someone you were dating? And someone you were in love with?
About the book
Bee Goldsmith is a date rape survivor and has written Diary of a Date Rape to raise awareness of the trauma and emotional complexities surrounding date rape. Although things are starting to change, date rape can still be extremely difficult to speak out about.
In nine cases out of ten, rapes are committed by someone you know which can be both devastating and confusing, adding to the trauma. Bee has written this book to help men, women and young adults guard themselves against sexual abuse in dating relationships.
Bee also hopes that it will help others, who may have been through something similar, begin the process of recovery so that they are able to fully live their lives again.
“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness,”
Desmond Tutu
